Richard Vance MD

Chief Executive Officer

As CEO of Foundation Radiology Group, Dr. Richard Vance brings nearly 20 years of experience leading companies in the healthcare services space. Most notably, he served as President and CEO of one of the nation’s largest and most diversified population health companies, which grew both through organic growth and acquisitions. Prior to joining Foundation Radiology Group, he served as an Operating Partner to one of the company’s key investors, Chrysalis Ventures, where he provided management and consulting services to multiple portfolio companies.

Prior to those positions, Richard served as Vice President of Population Health at Humana. He was also Assistant and Associate Professor of Pathology at Wake Forest University Medical School for 10 years, where he was a Foundation Teaching Scholar. He also received the Lansky Award from the College of American Pathologists, for significant contributions to the field of Pathology.

Dr. Vance has a Masters degree from the University of Chicago and his MD from Wake Forest University.

Shawn Kramer

Chief Operating Officer

Shawn joined Foundation Radiology Group in 2009 with more than 20 years of experience in leading client-facing organizations and optimizing service operations across multiple industries. Before joining Foundation Radiology, Shawn was Director of Service Delivery at Ceridian Corporation, a national provider of Human Capital Management solutions. While there, Shawn was selected for the company’s Six Sigma training program and ultimately achieved Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.

Prior to Ceridian, Shawn was Vice President of Customer Care for XO Communications, responsible for leading the company’s North East regional client services and operations teams. Shawn brings a rigorous, continuous improvement methodology to delivering reliable processes and results to Foundation Radiology’s clients.

Shawn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by an MBA from Duquesne University.

Christopher Radi

SVP, Information Technology

Chris Radi is an accomplished healthcare information technology executive with extensive experience in the specialty pharmacy and radiology industries.

Upon joining Foundation Radiology Group in 2011, Chris transformed the IT department from a traditional department focused on hardware and support to one focused on IT service delivery and strategy. He was able to lead this transformation through the use of effective interaction with customers; employment of incident, problem and change management disciplines; and by becoming a strategic partner with Foundation’s senior management team.

Before joining Foundation Radiology, Chris served as Manager of Information Technology Infrastructure for the Specialty Pharmacy Division at Walgreen Co., where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations and upkeep of the Specialty Pharmacy mission critical technology assets.

His background also includes business continuity, systems engineering and telephony. Chris has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a finalist in 2013 for Pittsburgh’s CIO of the Year.

John Stefanowicz

VP, RCM and Corporate Analytics

John joined Foundation Radiology Group in June 2015 as Director of Revenue Cycle Management and Medical Credentialing. He was awarded his B.S. in Chemistry from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, and spent more than a decade in manufacturing with Honeywell International before entering the healthcare arena.

During his tenure at Honeywell and then Quest Diagnostics John drove continuous process improvement using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, in which he is certified. Between his time at UPMC Physician Services, Sutter Gould Medical Foundation, Premier Medical Associates and Foundation Radiology Group, John has acquired an in-depth knowledge of the entire physician revenue cycle while maximizing collections and maintaining compliance.
